Benefit Updates

There have been updates to benefits for Texas A&M University College of Engineering and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station employees due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Read about COVID-19 related benefit updates here.

TEES is a member of The Texas A&M University System, and as such, offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), long-term care (LTC), long-term disability (LTD), and flexible spending accounts. Additional value added benefit programs, retirement plans, and local discounts are also available to eligible faculty and staff. Our Benefits Office strives to provide excellent customer service and serves as an information resource for insurance and benefit programs.

Benefit Open Enrollment

Open enrollment runs from July 1 to July 31 each year. During this period, employees and retirees may review and make changes to their benefits, add/remove dependents, re-enroll in flexible spending accounts, increase/decrease coverage levels, etc. The insurance plan year runs Sept. 1 through Aug. 31.

  • Changes made during open enrollment will be effective Sept. 1
  • Enrollment and changes are made through Workday, accessed via Single Sign On
  • Employees must re-enroll in flexible spending accounts each year
  • Review beneficiaries and make updates as needed
  • Confirm tobacco use status for you and your family members
