Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity Program prepares students for the basics in configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems, virtualized environments and secure network communications. Students enrolled in the Bachelor's+ Program are expected to complete two courses — CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ — and successfully pass the corresponding exam. Each course is approximately 80 contact hours and is taken online (asynchronous delivery). Students may enroll in only one course, but will not receive the Bachelor's+ Certificate of Completion. Instead, they will receive a course completion certificate.

Program Courses

Cybersecurity Program courses include:

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification Prep: CompTIA Security+ is the first security certification IT professionals should earn. It establishes the core knowledge required in any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. Security+ incorporates best practices in hands-on trouble-shooting to ensure security professionals have practical problem-solving skills.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification Prep: The CompTIA Network+ course will teach IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuring, managing and securing networks. Network+ provides the terminology and nomenclature of computer networks needed by people who work with and around networks.

NOTE: As part of the program, will receive a voucher for both the CompTIA Security+ and Network+ exams ($370 value).

Employing degreed engineers that are not only certified in cybersecurity disciplines but also have demonstrated the application of knowledge and skills into real-word operational and occupational scenarios provides our customers tremendous confidence in our ability to manage cyber threats that face us today with resilience against those we face tomorrow.
