The American Society for Composites holds a technical conference every year, which also serves as the society's annual membership meeting. This year's conference, hosted by Texas A&M University, will address how composites' ingenuity is taking on challenges in the environment, energy sector and economy.

A student-centric conference bringing together students, faculty and researchers in the power and energy systems area to provide a forum for students, faculty and industrial representatives. Participants will discuss research ideas for next generation power grids and will present their research outcomes.

Students in grades 6-12 compete in regional science and engineering fairs across Texas to advance to the state fair. The Texas Science and Engineering Fair includes more than 20 categories spanning across engineering, biological sciences and physical sciences. Winning high school entries advance to compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair.
