Employees of the Texas A&M University College of Engineering and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station are recognized for their length of employment through the Employee Service Recognition program. Gifts of appreciation are presented to employees who have reached 10 years of service and every 10 years thereafter.

Service Recognition is calculated at the close of each calendar year and gifts are awarded the following Spring. In addition, Employees are acknowledged and honored at the Awards Banquet and recognized at the Engineering Staff Workshop, both held annually in May (e.g., Employees who have reached an anniversary during the calendar year of 2023 will receive their gift and recognition in the Spring of 2024).

Eligibility

Service with Texas A&M University College of Engineering and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and/or other A&M System members counts towards service time. Service with other state agencies (i.e., Texas Department of Transportation or other state higher education institutions not in the A&M System) does not count. Faculty appointments of at least nine months count as one year of service.

Verification Process

Engineering Human Resources oversees the distribution of gift items and verification of eligible employees. Verification is coordinated through each employee’s department/division HR-Business office.
