Dr. Roderic Pettigrew has written an essay, “Humanity Binds Us,” which will be included in the fall edition of The Bridge, the flagship quarterly publication of the National Academy of Engineering. The issue will be online mid-September and is dedicated to the memory of U.S. Congressman John Lewis, who passed away July 17.

The essay is currently available on the Association of American Medical Colleges website.

Pettigrew is CEO of Engineering Health (EnHealth) and executive dean for Engineering Medicine (EnMed) at Texas A&M University and Houston Methodist Hospital, as well as the Robert A. Welch Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
