Dr. Ben Zoghi, assistant agency director for corporate relations for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the Victor H. Thompson Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University, has been appointed editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Automated Identification Technology (IJAIT).
IJIAT is a peer-reviewed journal that addresses issues of automated identification technology (AIT), which relies on advanced computer technology. AIT is used in disciplines such as medical and health care systems, product and asset tracking, production and manufacturing streamlining supply chain management, access control, and criminal identification.
Zoghi joined the faculty at Texas A&M in 1993 as an associate professor. In 1999 he was named a professor and in 2009 was named holder of the Victor H. Thompson Endowed Chair Professorship.
He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Seattle University and his master’s degree, also in electrical engineering, from The Ohio State University. He earned his Ph.D. in bioengineering/electrical engineering from Texas A&M in 1993.
His research interests include RFID/sensor system applications and emotional intelligence.
