Dr. Narasimha Reddy, electrical engineering professor and TEES research engineer, has been named assistant agency director for national and global initiatives for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of Texas A&M Engineering announced recently.
"It is crucial in today’s global economy for TEES and the State of Texas to position itself as a leader in technology development and implementation," said Banks. "Dr. Reddy has a long history of successful collaborations with industry partners and I know he will be able to contribute greatly to TEES’ success in the future."
Reddy is currently the holder of the J.W. Runyon, Jr. ’35 Professor I in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1990.
His research interests focus on computer networks, storage systems, multimedia systems and computer architecture.
Reddy has received numerous awards and honors including the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
