TEES is a member of The Texas A&M University System, and as such, offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), long-term care (LTC), long-term disability (LTD), and flexible spending accounts. Additional value added benefit programs, retirement plans, and local discounts are also available to eligible faculty and staff. Our Benefits Office strives to provide excellent customer service and serves as an information resource for insurance and benefit programs.

System Employee Benefit Advisory Committee (SEBAC)

Ms. Lona Warren serves as the elected SEBAC representative for fiscal year 2018. As SEBAC representative Ms. Warren, Administrator I and Chief of Staff in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering, represents our employees and retirees on the A&M System committee. SEBAC is governed by System Regulation 31.02.03.

Annual Benefit Enrollment

Open enrollment runs from July 1 to July 31 each year. During this period, employees and retirees may review and make changes to their benefits, add/remove dependents, re-enroll in flexible spending accounts, increase/decrease coverage levels, etc. The insurance plan year runs September 1 through August 31.

  • A&M System Benefits Administration website
  • Changes made during open enrollment will be effective September 1
  • Enrollment and changes are made through Workday, accessed via Single Sign On
  • Employees must re-enroll in flexible spending accounts each year
  • Review beneficiaries and make updates as needed
  • Confirm tobacco use status for you and your family members
