Smart Grid Center signs collaborative agreement with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) recently signed a collaborative research agreement with the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) Smart Grid Center and the center’s extension in Qatar on the study, “Optimizing KAHRAMAA’s Smart Grid Capabilities and Setting its Future Roadmap.”

Fifth Smart Grid Workshop focuses on using smart grids for big data

The focus of the fifth annual Smart Grid Workshop on the Texas A&M University campus was using smart grids for big data. The workshop was organized by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s (TEES) Smart Grid Center after receiving a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Big Data Spokes Program to extend collaboration and innovation using big data for the smart power grid area.
