What is a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template repository?

  • A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template repository (VPAT) is a standardized template completed by a vendor that attests to how accessible a particular product is according to federal Section 508 Standards.
    • Uses an official format provided by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC).
    • Meets requirements for TAC 213.38 (b).
  • A handy way to summarize accessibility and compliance information.

What is the VPAT repository?

  • A means to save vendor VPATs in one place to minimize time spent searching for VPATs.
    • Allows us to easily organize and keep track of different versions.
    • It is voluntary.
