Triad National Security LLC, which includes The Texas A&M University System, has received official notice to proceed toward managing the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Texas A&M System brings to the Triad team expertise in nuclear engineering, criticality safety and workforce development, all of which are important to the future of the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The Precise Advanced Technologies and Health Systems for Underserved Populations (PATHS-UP) Engineering Research Center (ERC) was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2017. The goal of all NSF-ERC funded programs is to integrate engineering research and education with technological innovation to transform national prosperity, health and security.
A multidisciplinary team of researchers has been selected by NASA to receive a five-year, $10 million grant as part of NASA Aeronautics’ University Leadership Initiative (ULI). The team will lead research into designing a supersonic transport aircraft that can modify its shape during flight under a range of conditions to meet noise and efficiency requirements for overland flight.
The Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF) is coming to Aggieland March 29-30, 2019, in the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field. The Texas Workforce Commission and ExxonMobil selected Texas A&M Engineering to host the annual competition beginning in 2019. A great big “HOWDY!” to the more than 4,000 participants, teachers, family members, friends, judges, and sponsors who will gather on the Texas A&M University campus in the spring.
