Employee Information Relative to A&M System Regulation

Standards of Conduct for State Employees

As a state employee you have been entrusted with certain resources and responsibilities. Pursuant to Texas Government Code 572.051556.004 and 2113.014 employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates the highest standards of performance and making ethical decisions relative to work responsibilities.

State's Policy on Compensatory Time

According to section 659.023 of the Texas Government Code, a state agency shall notify its employees annually of the state's policy on compensatory time. As such, please refer to System Regulation 31.01.09, relating to overtime for specific details relative to definitions, criteria and qualifications for compensatory time. Supervisor's responsible for approving overtime may wish to complete the online training, "Time off Issues for Supervisors", available in TrainTraq from Single Sign On.

Public Information Act

Texas Government Code, Chapter 522, gives you the right to access government records; and an officer for public information and the officer's agent may not ask why you want them. All government information is presumed to be available to the public. Certain exceptions may apply to the disclosure of the information. Governmental bodies shall promptly release requested information that is not confidential by law, either constitutional, statutory, or by judicial decision, or information for which an exception to disclosure has been sought.
