FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I get 24/7 access to my proposal and project information?

Yes, by logging into your TEES Researcher Portal account through the TEES EPIK Portal intranet , you can access a wealth of information not only about proposal in process or already submitted, but also about your funded projects. For assistance, call TEES Information Systems 979-458-7728.

When should I begin working with TRS to submit a proposal?

Short Answer: As Soon As Possible!!

Long Answer: There are several compelling reasons to notify TRS about your intent to submit to a funding solicitation as soon as it is determined you want to submit:
  • Electronic submission is not always a smooth process, please allow time;
  • Proposals need to be routed for signature approval;
  • Your proposal administrator works on multiple submissions at one time. Early notification can help the process move smoothly for all submission; and
  • During the process the PI might have changes that need to be made, with early notification these can more easily be accommodated.
TRS does not set an internal deadline. But if TRS is notified too late in the process we might not have time to make the deadline. Please help the process go smoothly for all PIs submitting and let TRS know of your intentions to submit as soon as you can.

How do I find out about Funding Opportunities?

There are several ways through TRS to be notified about funding opportunities:
  • The Funding Information Specialist maintains a database of PI keywords. This database is used to generate keyword specific emails. In order to make sure your information is complete please contact the Funding Information Specialist: Elizabeth Vasquez 979-845-1264. evasquez@tamu.edu.
  • The Funding Information Specialist also maintains a database of funding opportunities. (You will be asked to log into the EPIK Portal, the browser will then go to our internal EPIK Portal Location: database of funding opportunities )
  • Funding ActiviTEES newsletter provides a list of funding opportunities each month, along with informative articles relating to your projects.
