TEES Personnel Services is available to assist employees with obtaining needed workplace and professional development training. Our staff offers specific one-on-one or group training on a variety of human resource and professional development topics. Let us know what you need, our team is readily available to help.
New Employee Orientation
New employees of TEES and the Dwight Look College of Engineering, and employees transferring from another component of the A&M System, will complete all required paperwork via the online orientation. Orientation will cover issues such as state mandated training, review of policies and rules, completion of payroll related paperwork, insurance benefit selections as well as other helpful information. Professional Development Opportunities
Personnel Services announces professional development opportunities in the areas of management, supervisory and other work-related training, conveniently held in College Station. In addition to general courses focusing on communication, time management skills and project management, the Core Management Development (CMD) Certification program can be completed by attending certain specified sessions. The CMD Certification consists of six key management/supervisory areas of focus and participants have up to four years to complete the certification trainings.

Or contact TEES Personnel Services at 458-7699. All training sessions will be held in the John B. Connally Building, 301 Tarrow, College Station TX, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the date listed. Training expenses will be billed to the unit at a cost of $150 per one day coure and $300 per two day course. Cancellation of registration must be obtained three business days prior to the training to prevent "no-show" billing.

Mandated Training Available in HRConnect
HRConnect provides easy, convenient, online access to various training courses including state mandated training requirements, such as the three courses listed below. All employees are required to complete these training courses upon employment. Some courses require renewal training during the duration of employment.

Creating a Discrimination Free Workplace
The State of Texas mandates that all new employees must complete Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) training. The Texas A&M University System requires the training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. All CURRENT employees including student employees must retake this training every two years. The course entitled Creating a Free Discrimination Free Workplace is available online.
Ethics
Employee Training, System Policy 33.05 requires that ALL new employees and student employees receive ethics training within 30 days of hire. The policy also requires all CURRENT employees including student employees and working retirees to retake the ethics training every two years.
Information Security Awareness
To comply with State code, ALL users of Texas A&M University System information resources are required to complete Information Security Awareness training upon employment and every two years thereafter. The training provides information relative to safe computing practices and related policies, rules and laws .
Reporting Fraud, Waste and Abuse
This course will provide training on identifying and reporting instances of fraud, waste and abuse as part of the A&M System's fraud prevention program and Executive Order RP36. The training requirements are to be repeated every two years.
Orientation to the A&M System
This training provides a brief introduction to A&M System structure and governance and an overview of System policies and regulations.
