| Administrative Leave With Pay | ||

Administrative Leave with pay was established as special recognition and may be awarded to an employee whose job performance and productivity consistently exceed the criteria established for their position; that demonstrates an ability to accomplish tasks timely and efficiently; who has successfully completed a special project of significance; and/or a significant contribution to the continued success of the division. |

| Award Benefit | ||
|
Time off with pay is granted to the employee. Awards must be granted in eight-hour increments up to a maximum of 32 hours per fiscal year. Awards must be used within the fiscal year they are granted, but need not be used all at one time. This is a non-monetary award. |

| Nomination Process | ||
|
A recommendation from the employee's supervisor supported by the department/unit head serves as the nomination. A current performance evaluation, indicating the employee is considered to have oustanding performance, is to accompnay the recommendation. |

| Eligibility | ||
|
Wage employees are ineligible. |

| Submission Process | ||
|
Submit the supervisor's recommendation, along with a copy of the employee's most current performance evaluation, through the division head to the Director of TEES Personnel Services. |
||
| Employee Service Recognition | ||
|
Employees of the Dwight Look College of Engineeirng and the Texas Engineering Experiment Station are recognized for their length of employment via the Employee Service Recognition program. Service pins are presented to employees who have reached five (5) years of service and presented every five years thereafter. Service pins generally are distributed in December at the holiday reception. |

| Eligibility | ||
|
Employees with five (5) or more years of service; given in five (5) year increments. Service with the Dwight Look College of Engineering, Texas Engineering Experiment Station and/or another A&M System member counts toward service time. Service with other state agencies (i.e. TX Dept. of Transportation or another state higher education institute not in the A&M System) does not qualify. Faculty appointments of at least nine months count as one year of service. |

| Verification Process | ||
|
TEES Personnel Services oversees the distribution of service pins and verification of eligible employees. Verification is coordinated through each employee's division HR/business office. |
