Mission/Description

Mission

The Strategic Research Development group partners with faculty researchers to develop collaborative, Center-level proposals to federal funding agencies, such as the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. These proposals focus on larger collaborative efforts in technical, educational, and research initiatives that are generally Center level in nature and involve multiple partners or institutions. SRD provides expertise in competitive strategies, partnership development, project concept development, and proposal linkages to both existing and planned projects to achieve success in award competitions
The goal of SRD is to establish statewide partnerships forming a collaborative infrastructure of externally funded projects and centers that promote national recognition of the academic and research excellence supported through the infrastructure of the Texas Engineering Experiment Station Research Divisions
