Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) are, in general
terms, businesses owned by individuals who are economically
disadvantaged and who have been historically underutilized because
of their identification as members of specific ethnic groups or
women. Certifiied HUB venders with the State of Texas must be
residents of the State of Texas, own at least 51% of the assets and
interest of the business, be actively involved in the day-to-day
operations of the business, be able to make decisions for the
business, and be headquartered in the State of Texas.
