Mission/Description
The mission of the Center for Community Support is to provide a
broad range of grant development services for Texas communities.
Successful proposals totaling $32,523,121 have established new
programs across a broad range of problem areas, including
education, crime prevention, teen pregnancy, health care, child
abuse and drug prevention. All grants were secured through
successful competition and 90 percent were funded by the federal
government and private institutions. To date, the CCS has produced
$15 in external funding for each state dollar invested.
